ALBERTO SARRIA

Alberto began making masks in Venice in 1980. He had respected original traditions from the start. Even thou I have a wide range of types and decorations, from traditional carnival masks and Italian Commedia dell’Arte, to contemporary art techniques, Alberto always preferred those traditionally meant for carnival and the theatre’s characters. Through the masks, during the 35 years of work, he had explored history and traditions, techniques and materials, leaving an artisanal way of creating real pieces of art and an unmistakable style as legacy.
